Winnie Tam Designs - Handcrafted  Porcelain Jewelry 

Winnie Tam was born in  Hong  Kong, and came to Canada in the early 70's. She received her undergraduate degrees ( B.A. , B.Ed. )  in Philosophy, and Art Education respectively from University of Alberta, Edmonton, and McGill University, Montreal. She also obtained  a graduate diploma  in Vocational Education from McGill University.

A passionate lover of the arts and the  great outdoors, Winnie lives and works happily  in the Kitsilano area in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Twice nominated for gold medal by her faculty,  Winnie was also the recipient of the James McGill Award , and the Betty Jacque Travelling Scholarship  from McGill University in 1985 . She then further her studies in porcelain at East Carolina University in Greenville , North Carolina, U.S.A.

Pottery had been Winnie' s hobby for 14 years before it became her major in her professional training as an art teacher. She  also enjoys  painting , drawing & photography.

While she was working  as a high school teacher for 7 years, Winnie further her graduate studies in Art Therapy at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute .

In 1988, Winnie decided to become a professional  artist , and  started her own line of unique handcrafted porcelain jewelry . Her work had been shown in The Museum of Civilization and The George Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Arts, as well as many museum gift shops , art galleries , boutiques, and gift shops across Canada.

Winnie' s work has been collected by many individuals around the world.

Her other hobbies includes films, audio books, music, sea kayaking, downhill skiing, canoeing , hiking , horseback riding, cycling, traveling , as well as raising her two beloved Papillons.

(1-800-704-3244).  Appointments can also be set up with her for shopping wholesale dog pins ( best sellers ) in bulk and  many other items which are not posting on this web site. Ask for Lynda's recommendation of    starter kits of  35 assorted dog pins  or 50 assorted dog pins .

Due to supplying existing accounts , and clip -on earrings are in huge demand, all styles of earrings may have limited availability. Advance ordering  is recommended.

Mixed dog pins will be discontinued, customers can order custom dog pins by sending Winnie photos of their dogs.
